Steering Committee

George Bogdanov is  the President of ChildPact and the Executive Director of the National Network for Children – a network of more than 140 leading Bulgarian NGOs, working with children and families. He has a PhD on Sociology, Anthropology and art science in Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. George has a significant background in working with civil groups, NGOs, the Roma community in Bulgaria as well as with isolated communities by means of the approach for development of the communities. He has worked as a consultant for Charity Know How – Great Britain and evaluation consultant for UNICEF and the World Bank. He was a socio-economic expert in the field of anti-discrimination 2009-2013 and since 2005 he is national coordinator and social inclusion consultant for Bulgaria on Social Policy assisting the EC’s DG Employment Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities. George was part of management board of Eurochild from 2010 till 2017. He is the author and co-author of a number of reports and researches in the sphere of child welfare, civic organizations, decentralization, poverty and social inclusion, health, social services and antidiscrimination.

Mariana Ianachevici is the Executive Director of AVE Copiii Association, Board member of the Moldovan coalition for child protection (APSCF) and former ChildPact’s President of the Board. Ms. Ianachevici is an expert in child protection with advanced experience in child-centered policies and services.

 

Arjel Trajani, is a member in the Steering Committee of BKTF and the Executive Director of SHKEJ in Albania. Mr Trajani has a background in educational and organisational psychology and has experience in working on child protection issues in Albania.

 

 

Ana Abashidze is the Chairwoman and trial attorney of non-governmental, non-profit organization “Partnership for Human Rights” (PHR). She is steering committee member of the coalition for Child and Youth of Georgia. For seven years, Ana as children’s rights and feminist lawyer worked for the office of Public Defender (Ombudsman) of Georgia and a national expert of gender equality of UN Women. Abashidze is also certified trainer on using the European Convention on Human Rights and European (revised) Social Charter for practicing lawyers in Georgia. She is author of several human rights monitoring and research reports and publications on the rights of children, people with disability, gender equality and women’s rights. Abashidze received a BSc in Law from the Georgian Technical University and an LL.M. from Tbilisi State University. She graduated from American University Washington College of Law as a fellow of Hubert H. Humphrey fellowship program 2017-2018, in Washington, DC. During the program she was professionally affiliated with the international human rights organizations such as Amnesty International and Disability Rights International in Washington, DC.

Berina Ceribašić is the Executive Director of the association “Naša djeca” Sarajevo and the coordinator of the Network for Children of Bosnia and Herzegovina “Stronger Voice for Children”. Ms Ceribašić is a sociologist researcher with 20 years experience in the non-governmental sector in B&H in the field of child rights and human rights.  She has been leading and participating in a number of researches and projects implemented with domestic and international organizations and agencies, author and co-author of brochures, publications and reports on the subject of the rights of the child, in particular monitoring of child rights situation and children participation. Ms Ceribašić is a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Council for Children since 2013.
