Call for Experts: Local Project Director to lead project and advocacy initiatives in Armenia
Under the project United Voices for Children, Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, World Vision Germany, AgroInvest Foundation Serbia, and the Armenian Child Protection Network (ACPN) are seeking a Full-time Local Project Director to lead project and advocacy initiatives on behalf of Armenian Child Protection Network.
Project Goal
To strengthen ACPN as a coalition of NGOs and build its presence in national and international policy debates so that children benefit from new reform efforts by government.
Project Outcomes
With assistance from regional experts, three outcomes are envisaged:
- Build coalition sustainability
- Create a unified advocacy approach
- Join policy debates
Work Streams
To achieve the project outcomes, the Local Project Director will manage and implement the following work streams on behalf of ACPN:
Job Responsabilities
- Convene, coordinate and assist coalition members in project activity decisions and implementation
- Coordinate, communicate and respond to project management staff to attain project outcomes
- Deliver activity and output related actions on time and in cooperation with experts and coalition members
- Project manage local actions in accordance with donor regulations and approved procedures

- Participate in strategy and decision making under project actions
- Receive timely and thoughtful information to allow for participation in all streams of project work
- Stay connected to regional experts and stakeholders in strategic ways
Regional Team & Experts…
- Receive timely and thoughtful communication to monitor and assist with work product and results
- Are appraised of situations that could impact project implementation or policy engagement negatively or positively
Coalition Results
- Governance procedures are re-designed and implemented
- Funding strategy is developed and implemented
- Marketing strategy is developed and materials are created and circulated
- Advocacy strategy is designed and implemented in accordance with this project’s child protection index
Project Management Results
- Donor regulations are followed in all project actions and administration (reporting, finance, procurement and administration)
- Reporting is on time and relevant to the project’s actions, outcomes and goals

Core Talents Needed
- 3 years grant implementation and management
- Experience of knowledge and experience in child protection / rights / welfare
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in native language and English
- Strong convening power and organizational skills
- Understanding political landscape and civil society stakeholders
- Excellent track record of grant management (finance, administration, reporting)
- Intellectual drive to learn, succeed and be humble in the process
- Strong interpersonal skills
- University degree
